The truth may hurt, but the truth has to be spoken. The qualification of a Sadhu is that he does not look to flatter his audience, unlike a politician who goes to a place and finds out what the problem is, and just speaks on that line. Freedom by surrender

The characteristic of a devotee is that somehow or other he must be satisfied with whatever the Lord provides.

One who is serious about progressing in spiritual life must be very careful to avoid associating with situations by which his spiritual life can be checked.

Krishna never said that you can do whatever you want to and I will still protect you. He says it very clearly that only if you surrender to Me then I will protect you.

Prabhupada has explained that Krishna has appeared in the present age in the womb of the Krishna Consciousness movement. This Krishna Consciousness movement can destroy the demons but the process of destroying the demons has been adjusted for the present age. The process of taking care demoniac mentality is to somehow or the other enlighten it about the science of Krishna Consciousness through the medium of book distribution, through the medium of prasadam distribution or through maintaining nice temples worldwide, and bringing these people to our temples and this way they can get the opportunity of hearing the transcendental message of the Lord.

Prabhupda said that when the guru leaves, the disciple cries. He must cry for help. Krishna will supply help in one form or another. Help will come as a person.

The power of illusion is such that when you have things your way, you don’t think that miseries will ever come your way. And any gentleman who speaks the truth cannot deny that you cannot escape the miseries of life for long.

This chanting of the holy name, if attentively done, guarantees the individual’s entrance into the kingdom of God.

In the material world there is disunity between individual souls but if we are serving Krishna, our goal is to serve Krishna, and we are working in friendship, in unity with one another then the Supreme Lord will be very much pleased and if the Supreme Lord is very much pleased then we would achieve the goal of life. But if the Supreme Lord is not pleased then everything is simply a waste of time. So our goal should be to please the Lord. Lord desires that we work in friendship.
