The truth may hurt, but the truth has to be spoken. The qualification of a Sadhu is that he does not look to flatter his audience, unlike a politician who goes to a place and finds out what the problem is, and just speaks on that line. Freedom by surrender

Krishna never said that you can do whatever you want to and I will still protect you. He says it very clearly that only if you surrender to Me then I will protect you.

Prabhupda said that when the guru leaves, the disciple cries. He must cry for help. Krishna will supply help in one form or another. Help will come as a person.

The power of illusion is such that when you have things your way, you don’t think that miseries will ever come your way. And any gentleman who speaks the truth cannot deny that you cannot escape the miseries of life for long.

This chanting of the holy name, if attentively done, guarantees the individual’s entrance into the kingdom of God.

The fight with maya is because we don’t chant our rounds properly, we don’t study these books, and we don’t have the mood to serve. The mood to serve is developed by chanting and reading. There is no other magic.
